My Take on Sports-Linsanity

In the world of basketball, there has been a rising name among the ranks: Jeremy Lin. He has been in the news ately for his impressive shots in the world of basketball, and to boot, he is a Harvard graduate and a relatively new figure to the basketball word. The world has gone into an uproar over this player, but since this guy was suddenly famous, I had to question why this guy was so famous in a short amount of time.

For those of you who don't know, he is a Asian-American, more specifically Taiwanese-American who plays for the Knicks in the NBA. He stands about 6'3" , which is pretty tall for Asians, and also due to  his parents only being 5'6". Also, he is a Harvard graduate and he came into the league basically unknown, coming in from the lowest of the low. SO what makes this guy so famous? Is it the Cinderella Story behind him? Probably.

His story is a simple one: He was at the bottom of basketball ranks, playing in the D Leagues. He never got drafted, and never impressed anyone in his college days either. He eventually got drafted into two other NBA teams, though he got cut. Lin was about to be cut from the Knicks, when injuries forced him on to the playing court, and he scored big time. He then brought the Knick's to a winning season so far, and this has brought him much fame for making the Knicks come together.

First off, I would like to say that I am not really a sports person. Yes, it's O.K. but I'm not a die hard fan for it.

My take on the reason why he is famous is simple: is the fact that he is Asian-American. In other words, I blame it because he is not African-American. Basketball is dominated by African-Americans and since Lin is an Asian-American, people rever him for stepping out side the racial norms. Also, I think it's also because he is a Harvard graduate playing in the NBA (What a waste), and that says that you can be smart and also be good at sports. I do think that it is also due in part to the fact that he scored more points in his opening games than any other NBA player, which a good sign.

Overall, I honestly cannot see why people are so obssesed with Jeremy Lin. Yes, I respect the fact that he cae out of no where and took the NBA by sweep, but the Lin puns are going a bit too far in my mind. Anything from "Lin"sanity, to "Lin"ning; these Lin puns, I hate to say it, are already old. They are utterly ridiculous and they need to stop. He is one guy; you did not see puns when other players came into the big picture, or when any other person, from any other sport became famous. What makes this guy so different, besides the fact he has an easily exploitable name? Give the guy a break.

A Few Words on the Passing of Whitney Houston

If you have turned on a new station, or been on the web, then you know that the web is a buzz with the news of Whitney Houston's death. Additionally, if you didn't know, she was a world famous singer who sung such hits as "I Will Always Love You," and "I'm Every Woman," and was well known for her vocal range in the music world.  Her death has startled the world, gaining the attention that the deaths of presidents or other such pop musicians such as Michael Jackson.

First things first, my condolences go out to her family for their loss; she was a great singer. Her vocal range was well known all over the world, even leading to some Korean kids sing her signature song. I respect anyone who can hit that vocal range, and her talents will surely be missed in this world.

Now, yes, I admit I am a bit saddened by her death, and yes, she does deserve some respect, however, I am getting sick of the party the media is having with her death, Every time I look at the news channel such as CNN, its all about Whitney Houston. I can nderstand the party at first, due to her being a well known artist, and a good one at that, but after a couple of day, it's old. They keep saying how they have not released any details about her death, and how she was found dead in a bath tubb, and it's the same story over and over again. If you are going to cover something, please cover something serious, like the trouble in Syria and other news. It is taking up unnecessary space in the news that could be used for other things. I can understand updating us once in a while about any new news about her death, but please, stop driving this into the ground.

Another reason I am not all that enthused with her death is that hit was covered live on the major t.v. networks, like, you guessed it, CNN. It is a bit ironic because there talk of trying to let it be private, but they had to let one camera into the funeral service. And then, it felt like it was everywhere. I couldn't even go to a good Mexican Restaurant without it being there either. I can understand there being a service, such as all people should get one, but televising it? I almost say that's a bit disrespectful because if someone in my family died, I would not want it to be televised, but I guess that is a call on the part of the living.

Also, one thing I have a problem with is the fact that later in life, she was a drug addict, and I don't think that should rewarded with the attention that this is getting. It's like if you become famous, then you can do drugs, and then get rewarded when you die with a massive funeral and publicity. The drugs changed her voice, and thus degraded her singing ability. I guess when you're found dead in a bath tub, I guess that rewards a massive funeral and massive grieving.

Last thing I would like to point out is the fact that people die every day, what makes her death any more special than a soldier's death on the battle field or that poor kid being killed by his mother? I hate to see how her death is getting so much attention that it is ridiculous. Just because in society's eyes she is a bit more important than others does mean she has the right to get this much attention.

Although her death has saddened me and the world, and her and her wonderful voice will be missed, I am sick and tired of the attention her death is garnering due to the world. There are probably more important things going on in the world that need attention, and not just her death. I'm not saying to disrespect it, just saying to tone it down just a little bit

Valentine Day 2012

No relationship is perfect, that is a given in life. Some of them are abusive, some relationships have a lot of bickering between the couple, and some of them, although rarely, are just too perfect. However, I have found this valentines day to be especially special due to the fact I have a wonderful person to spend it with. However, it has turned out that no matter how much women may want to think men understand us, they honestly do not. I understand that very well, as most of my friends are guys, and I have compiled a guide to some of the guys' most commonly asked questions.

Question 1-What the hell is with "just friends?"
For women, breaking up in some cases is not easy. However, we sometimes realize that being in a relationship with some one is not always the best option because let's face it, not every friend is boy friend material. So, when we break up with you in that way, we just mean you are a great friend to me, and I respect you as a friend, but as for a partner, it's not going to work. Also, the other meaning it could have is that Ok, this relationship is over, but let's not talk bad about it to all our friends. We usually mean nothing bad about being "just friends" but it just means that you make an excellent friend, however, we don't want to be dating you just because people change a little bit when they're dating, so keep that in mind.

Question 2-Why don't girls like sex?
You're asking the wrong person for one, I hate to admit it, however, I think that most women do not like sex just because one, we value our virginity. In societal norms, we are taught that your virginity is one of the most sacred things to you, and we sometimes try and hold on to that as long as possible. Also, we don't, we do worry about getting pregnant because if we don't want kids, we don't want them. Other than that, we don't want to have sex with a man we don't love, because whats the fun in that?

Question 3-Is there an age to know what love is and how do you know if it's true love?
For the first half a question, I think that if you have a firm grasp of being attached to someone, be it your parents or friend or someone special, then I say almost any age can pass. However, I do say kids start getting the idea of love about age seven to nine at the earliest. Now, how to know if its true love? Honestly, I myself am still unsure what the concept of true love is. At points, I thought I understood it, however it always turned out I was wrong. I think true love is when you are attracted to the other person, and they are attracted to you, and you both enjoy being with each other and share a lot of intimate moments together. However, as that case may be, I think there is some deep underlying connection that has to go on between the two people that I cannot explain; I guess that feeling is extreme bliss of being together.

I will not guarantee that these are the right answers to these questions; these are just my insights into these questions. All women do tick differently, and I do tick a bit differently than most, however, I think that's what makes life and romance fun. I will say this also: Just have fun and not worry about what makes women tick; it will only lead to to problems. So this valentines day, just have fun and enjoy your selves to the fullest.

Black Rock Shooter: Why It Shouldn't Be an Anime

If you're an anime fan, then you probably have heard the name "Hatsune Miku." In case you have not, then I should inform you that she is basically  a god among some extremest, but she's basically a program that can generate music. With in a short time, her popularity caught on and she even started having concerts, and then they decided to make an anime about one of her music videos, namely the song "Black Rock Shooter." At first they decided to make an OVA , which apparently did so well that they made a "full" T.V. series. Now i use the words "T.V. Series" lightly because I do consider a full anime series eleven or more episodes, where as Black Rock Shooter is only eight episodes. Now, since that Miku is so popular, and the song was so popular, then why am I complaining about the anime being made? Simply, because the source was not that good to begin with.

I was watching the music video for the song of which the anime is based. To be honest, Miku was drawn awesomely, with black hair and an awesome jacket with a bikini top and practically booty shorts. She has the purest blue eyes, and looks like something I would cosplay as, to be honest. However, with as good as she looks, the art in the original is not that good. The hair concept is like Miku, with the twin tails, but the actual drawing is not that good. I will credit the special effects i the video, but other than that, the video art is ok at best.

Now, the anime shows this epic story about Black Rock Shooter trying to fight for her life in this odd world, along with the slice of life story with Kuroi Mato and her friend Takanashi Yomi. These two story lines seem to be intertwined, however separate at the same time. With that in mind, the execution in the anime for the story was not that good, and I wanted to see if the orginal source executed any better. It did not. In fact, it barely executed a story at all. In the original music video, all the only action sequences are the fact that her hair is waving in the wind, and even that motion is not well done because it looks like tentacles. The animation in the original sucks. Also, there are no epic fight scenes in the original like there is in the anime, and even in the anime, the story mainly focuses on Kuroi Mato, and not about the epic fight that was hinted at.

Also, the music in the original is supposed to be the story, and even so, it does a horrible job at telling a story. I think it's about a girl trying to convey her feelings to someone, but I am not that sure. I guess that could translate into the OVA, and perhaps the anime, but it does not seem like the story in the music video means the same as the story in the anime or OVA. The singing in the original is not that good in my mind. It has a whiney tone in my mind.

In my mind, I think if they wanted to sell Miku as an anime, I think they could at least try a different song. I think "The World is Mine," would have made a good anime. Also, "Triple Baka" could have made for a good one. In fact, I think that SHAFT could make a good "Love is War" anime, because at least that has more of a story than "Black Rock Shooter."

I'm not saying that Black Rock Shooter is all bad, because the anime has potentional. All I am saying is the fact that they could have chosen better Miku songs and the source material is not that good. I do hope for a good eight episodes, and I pray that they can improve upon an original music video.

RIP Megavideo

As you all may know, piracy around the internet is a hot issue now-a-days. With the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and other such bills, the media sharing age may have come to an end. Although it hasn't passed, that still hasn't stopped the federal government from cracking down on piracy sites. With this mind, I have sad news to report:the government has shut down the popular media sharing site MegaUpload and the sister video streaming site MegaVideo.

Now, in case you didn't know, MegaUpload was a site where user could upload files to share with the world, basically a peer to peer (P2P) site. It limited downloads to one download at a time, and had a wait time for those with only the free access, although for premium user, you could download multiple files and no wait time. It was popular for sharing anime, music, and other such files with the world, even with its stipulations. Megavideo, like its sister site MegaUpload, allowed users to share files, though MegaVideo streamed videos rather than allowing users to directly download the file directly. It too had stipulations, such as if you watched 72 minutes of video, you had to wait, usually 54  minutes. Even though with these stipulations, people made bypass sites that didn't have the 72 minute limit, and it was useful for watching anime because anime episodes on Megavideo were not as often taken down like they are on Youtube, and people could upload full episodes, movies, and basically what ever they pleased.

The news came Thursday to me in the form of a chat room, with people buzzing about how Megavideo was shut down. I also noticed how one of my videos that was supposed to be from MegaVideo was not working. Curious, I started looking around as to the exact cause of the shut down.

The reasoning for shut down: If you guessed piracy, you guessed right. The US Federal Government shut down the site, claiming that the site was making money off pirated material. True, users could pay for premium accounts in order to watch how much video they liked, with no time limits. Also, the prosecutors that the copyright holders could have caused over half a billion dollars in sales loss. But the employees at MegaUpload have been estimated to have made as much as 42 million dollars off the site, and when the federal government raided the founder's house in New Zealand, they took 8 million dollars that were in a case, cars, artwork and guns. Though most of the site was hosted in New Zealand, prosecutors are starting to investigate that there are servers in Virginia and all over the world.

So who is in the wrong in my mind? As a user of the site, and as it allows free downloads and streaming for those who are seriously broke, I honestly have to say both parties are wrong. Don't get me wrong: I am grateful for the free videos and all, but the way it was conducted was sort of illegal. The copyright law is a strange thing; it says that all right go to the copyright holder, and it cannot be reproduced with out the owners permission. However, in the internet age, it has been ifferred that yes, you can reproduce it, but only if you are not A:Taking credit for it or B: making profit off of it. MegaUpload did the latter half by making people pay for unlimited downloads or unlimited streaming. However, the site should have realized this, and had unlimited bandwidth and not had a problem with this in the first place. Also,I do not like how the government feels that it can take down sites just because of online piracy, especially those hosted mainly in other countries. It would be one thing if it was hosted all in Virginia, but all the way in New Zealand, that's ridiculous.

But, overall, it is a sad, sad day for those craving free online T.V. Shows and movies. All I'm going to say is that I hope that they do not try and shut down other sites, because the Government has already taken many other file sharing sites off the web, including Napster and Limewire. In all honesty, I can see how somewhat, the entertainment industry thrives on these sites because with out them, who would know what's out there, and potentially buy them?

On one last note: I hope that this isn't the end to free movies, music, and file sharing all together.

2011-A Year to Remember

The past year for me has been eventful, I will admit. Even though I haven't had this blog for a year, 2011, however is drawing to a close. Over the past  year, I feel like I have accomplished a lot, though it has not been without its pitfalls.

This past year has come many successes, such as graduating high school, and starting college. It might be a community college, but college none the less, and the next chapter in my life. Though both might seem like an easy feet, the stress that went with both was quite frankly horrendous, though I am glad I have done both. Though I treasure my time in high school, I am excited about completing my first semester at college. College is a new experience for me, due to the fact that everyone is more relaxed somewhat, and there is none of the high school drama, though it does have its own bit of drama. It's also a more diverse group of people in college, anyone from just out of high school people like me, to working adults, to even ex-military people.

First of all, I would like to thank the wonderful people I have met in 2011. One of my best friends I actually met this year in high school, and he is amazingly kind to me, despite some rough patches. He was the one that introduced me to Team Fortress 2, and other computer games, because before I will honestly say I saw computer games as a waste of space on the computer's hard drive. He has also been there for me when I needed him, and we have really fun memories together.

Along with my best friend, I also met some wonderful people in my English class. These people were the party in my life, and even though they are quite insane, I still treasure that class dearly. Everyday was like a riot, a good riot though, due to the fact we would kind of pick on each other, though some of us got picked on more than others. (я ниет лоли). Besides the folks in my English class, my math class buddies were also amazingly nice. They knew how to joke around, and most of them were new to college, like me, and we had a rough time at first adjusting to the class, and some of us, like my self, had to drop the class.

Also, this year, I have gotten into more American movies, and gotten more into different types of movies. Before I met my best friend, and also one of my friends on my English class, I usually stuck to anime, and I still tend to, though I am becoming more acquainted with American movies. (If you have any movies that you want me to see or review, email me). Also, I have come to appreciate torrenting a lot more for american movies, and not just downloading three hundred plus gigabytes of anime.

In 2011, I started this blog. Taking inspiration from one of my friends and fellow blog writer, I have started my own blog. I realized that I could actually write(not that well) about movies, life, and anime. Although it's just a beginning blog, I hope to make this blog my own sort of ramblings about anime and movies, with a few game reviews in between(when I have time to play them...seriously). And even though I cannot write particularly well, this blog is a fun experience to try and become better at writing.

This year, however, has not been with out its problems. Between my computer crashing, and huge amounts of stress and boredom, it probably has made me a stronger person (also taught me to back up my data regularly.) Along with my computer crashing, I am currently still working on building a computer (like built from scratch) and that has come with its problem; for example, it now lacks the BIOS systems, making it virtually living, but a vegetable. (Thank you infinite loops, you murderous killers).

But as I look towards 2012, I actually do have a couple goals in mind, most of these revolving around my life and my future. One such goal is to go into the air force, though I doubt it will happen in 2012, though I want to talk to the recruiter. Also, I wanna complete my second semester at college, and do some summer classes so I can hurry up and graduate and go into the air force, due to the fact a college degree will make it easier to join. Along with getting on board with the military, I want to at least learn a language and become decently fluent in it, probably become more fluent in Japanese and Spanish, and maybe pick up the romance languages in my mind: German and Russian. (French is ugly thank you)

Overall, this year has been an excellent year, many mile stones I have gotten passed, and I have met many, many people over the past year. I can honestly say that I hope 2012 is as good, if not better than 2011, and I look forward on keeping the reader(s) posted on the movies I have seen. If you have any anime, movie, game, books, and any other stuff that you may want me to review, or even questions or comments, although I will ask you to make the subject of the email about the blog. (I don't read spam).

I'd Like to thank those who have stumbled across this blog, and hope to see some of you return. Until next year (or a few hours) have fun!

Flight From Fame

Traveling can be stressful for a lot of people. Everyday people, hoping aboard a plane, the people you have to deal with, the stress of not being bored to death while traveling are all essential, but stressful things that most people have to deal with. Even celeberties aren't exempt from this process. Although they are treated like royalty when they travel, it seems that they feel they are exempt from normal regulations, and throw a fit when they actually have to follow regulations that are for the plane's safety, not because they want them to be bored out of their mind. Alec Baldwin is most recent example of a celeberty going off because he was forced to do something that was necessary for the planes safety, and then caused an uproar over it.

In the case of Alec Baldwin, he was forced to get off a plane when a flight attendant asked him to put away his iPad because the plane was taking off. Alec, who was busy playing a game on the iPad, refused to put the device up, though it is not clear why the flight attendants kicked him off the flight, though some passengers on the flight claim that he was being rather rude to the attendants.Baldwin later took the scandal to Twitter, stating that the flight attendants were basically 1950's Catholic school teachers that had started working in the air line industry, and that he would never fly the airline again.

I think the problem here is that the Baldwin took the problem too far. He basically refused to comply with airline regulations that are in place to protect the flight, the passengers, and radar safety, due to the wireless interactions of the devices actually interfering with functions. Also, now a days, if stuff goes to Twitter, then it's "serious business," though I think he is over reacting to the whole thing. Just because he is a celeberty doesn't mean he is exempt from flight rules. If someone asks him to put up the device for safety reasons, then he should have put it up, not take it to the world for everyone to read.

What worse in my mind is the media attention that this has received. I'm pretty sure people get kicked off flights all the time for not complying, and yet you never hear about them. Only in extreme cases does the average person getting kicked off the flight gain media attention, and even then, it isn't as instantaneous as celeberty cases.  If the average person posted on Twitter about getting kicked off, I think that it would have to gain such an outrage or make people double take on what they said, or press a law suit. Alec Baldwin posted about it, and even though it is sort of outrageous, if said by any regular Average Joe, I don't think that it would have garnered so much attention.

But this whole case kind of ourages me. Who is he to throw a temper tantrum over having to put up a game? A little kid I could understand. A grown man who people supposedly like, not a chance. People need to grow up and learn they have to do stuff they don't like. Just because a flight attendant asks you to put up a game or device because it might cause issues doesn't mean they are trying to be mean, they just want you to arrive there safely.

The Kardashians: Why Do We Care?

If you have turned on the TV or the Radio in the past month, you have probably heard the name "Kim Kardashian" or just the Kardashian name in general. The world seems obsessed with them for some reason, though if you're like me, you just have to wonder one word: Why? Why is the world obsessed with them? Why does anyone care? Why are they famous? In my search for answers, I found out a possible reasons, but none of them stand to justice as to make people who did nothing.

Fist, I would like to look at their family back ground. many claim that their father, Robert Kardashian, who was part of the team that got OJ Simpson the "not guilty" verdict. However, he passed away, and their mother married an Olympic Decathlon person. This leave us with the question: Why are the girls so famous? Their parents and step-dad are famous. What does that have to do with the girls, because the last time I checked, they weren't doing anything spectacular.

The Kardashian that you may be most familiar with is Kim Kardashian, is famous for two reasons: Being best friends with Paris Hilton (another person famous for no good reason) and a sex tape. Yep, you heard right: America basically worships a porn star. Though most of her fame comes from the TV show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," the root will probably always be her sex tape. Also, another reason why her name is coming up so much in the news is the fact that she recently got married to Kris Humphries, and the marriage only lasted seventy-two days. The marriage ceremony was video tapes and glorified for their TV show, and the break up was overly dramatic.

Kourtney, another one of the Kardashians, has been in the news in recent times for having her second child. Seriously America, people have babies all the time. she and her sister Khloe got their own spin off show called "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami," in which they are the stars, and not their more popular sister, Kim. Also, she is cticized for an out of wedlock child, though for some reason of another, America seems to love her.

The Kardashians seem to be famous for being famous. That's actually a bout it: They do nothing, and yet they get a reality show. At least Kate Gosslin pushed six babies out of her at once, and combined with a set of twins, she had eight kids. The Kardashians, they're famous for just being, well being famous. The only people who watch their show is middle age house wives, and the others have no life.

In fact, other people feel that the Kardashian's fame is so uncalled for that they have enven started a boycott petition against them. The petition that was launched according to the Washington Post, wants E! Entertainment, the network that has the audacity to air the Kardashian show, to pull it from the air, because it promotes the wrong stuff, such as over-consumption and greed. They also don't want people to buy the Kardashian line of products, such as Kim's Perfume. Also, they don't want people to shop at stores she endorses.

The fact still remains: Have they done ANYTHING worth TV stardom, fame and fortune? In my eyes, no they haven't. They don't sing, act, or model. They don't do good deeds to help people out, they do much of...nothing, except create drama. So, my fellow readers, please don't give the Kardashians anymore fame than they already have, because they don't deserve it. Once they do something note worthy, then praise them al you want. Until then, don't: you're only stoking their ego.

E-Readers: Ruining the Reading Experience

Everyone enjoys a good book. The turning of the pages, the new book smell, the printed ink; all componets of a good read. But it seems now, with the technology of the Kindle, the Nook, and other E-Readers like it now threaten the traditional reading experience. They make even reading go digital. Though going digital maybe cheaper, and the new trened now, I believe that reading should be kept to the pages of a book, and not the digital pages of a Kindle.
For me personally, I feel like I cannot connect with the digital pages of a Kindle. They seem so cold, uninviting, and heartless, while the pages of a real book are warm, tender, and caring. Reading on a Kindle makes me no be able to connect with the book, no matter how good the book may be. The turning of the page keeps me on edge, like what will happen next, while clicking the heartless buttons on a Kindle.

I'll be the first to admit, the technology of the Kindle is pretty awesome. Some models show each page in a non harsh way that is easy on your eyes, due to no back lights, or the thing that makes screens glow. The glow of a computer screen makes it hard for me to read manga online for hours at at a time, though the Kindle screen is easy for my eyes. Although no backlighting is great, I am sometimes left in the dark about what I'm supposed to use at night in order to read the Kindle. For a book, the answer is simple, just use a flash light, or a screen with back lighting, or in extreme cases, candle light. But for a Kindle, the question arises: Can I use a flashlight to read it, or will it act weird, like using a flashlight to see on an LCD screen?

Along with the fact of I cannot connect with the book, I like the feeling of being able to mark my place in a book by dog earing the pages. Even though it's a great debate among readers whether you should dog ear or not, I believe in it. However, with a Kindle, you have to rely on the fact that it will keep your place for you, and that someone will not mess up your spot. True, people can do that with real books, but you can always tell the last place it was marked because of the way the page was bent. With digital marking, there is no way to trace the last page you were on.

One of the reasons I am encouraged to get a Kindle (Which I won't) is due to the fact books take up space. Let's face it: People who love to read usually have book cases filled with books. (In my case manga) I like the feeling of having those books over run my house because I know I can lend them out to people, and usually get them back in prime condition. With a Kindle, you can't lend those books out without lending out the whole system, and if you do that, you're out of books to read. Although there is a chance someone would steal your books, I believe the chance with a Kindle is higher because it is a more expensive, newer piece of technology, and electronic.

Also, my biggest complaint about the Kindle (unless they have upgrades this with newer models) is that it can't   read manga, or Japanese comic books. As an otaku, I'll admit to the fact I have more manga books than real books on my book case, they over run my house, and I read them constantly. With the original Kindle, you can't load manga to it, and I think that it would be slightly awkward to read it. Would you press the buttons to the right to go "forward" in the book, or to the left to keep with traditional page turning? Also, since the Kindle does not display color, the color pages which I love so dearly would probably not be able to be shown.

Albeit all my complaints about the Kindle, and E-Readers, I will give them one positive thing: They make books affordable because you don't have to pay for the ink, the paper, the publisher, and other stuff required in making the book. The digitalization of the book makes it cheaper, and usually a book will cost about three or four dollars, a good idea for any of us going through hard economic times, which it feels like all of us are.

The Kindle is a revolutionary idea of taking books, and making them digital, but in that movement, i feel like some of the meaning behind reading is lost. You can read how ever you want though, whether is be a book or a Kindle, as long as you read, then you are just making your self better, though I prefer books.

Black Rock Shooter PV:Impressions

They're at it again. Trying to milk a series for its worth. Guess the series this time? Is it Naruto, or Bleach? Nope. It's the flop OVA Black Rock Shooter. Yep, they're making it into an anime series, and a series with just eight episodes.
The PV was just released and I was thinking "Ok, they're trying to milk this for all its worth." As I sat down to watch it, I was skeptical. The OVA made almost no freaking sense, jumping from the K-On like parts to the kick ass parts. Were they gonna play into the K-On/Slice of life part, or were they gonna play into the awesome black Rock Shooter?
It starts off with a song and  Black Rock Shooter sitting on the edge. From the looks of the PV, it seems the anime will be about the action part, though i am not getting my hopes up for it being about the Battle between Black Rock Shooter and Death Scythe. I think the anime will be a let down because they will concentrate on the moe aspects of the anime, aka the girls and the slice of life part.
Also, the other quelm i have with them releasing the anime as a "full" series is that it only 8 episodes long. The only other anime I know that followed that path was the second season of Mitsudomoe, and while 8 episodes may be plenty for a sequel, I don't believe that it will be enough to tell a complete story. Please creators, get it together, and TRY this time. The OVA was such a flop I don't know why they even THOUGHT it would sell. Oh wait that's right. It's aimed at fans of Hatsune Miku and they KNOW it will sell because of the vocaloid prospects. Congrats you're making money while disappointing the rest of us.
